How To Clean Your Nook Tablet
How to clean a nook?
I have a first edition nook. And was wondring what the best way to clean its screen would be without damaging it.

My understanding is that the advice given here, "Use windex", is bad. For plastics, the ammonia can cause crazing and ultimately make the screen hard to read. The way I've always cleaned my screens (laptops, nook, etc.) is 1) use a dry, clean microfiber cloth or 2) use a isopropyl alcohol soaked wipe. I find that Zeiss lens cleaning wipes do the trick.

I don't know what type of screen it has, but for most of my electronics I just get a small squirt of Windex on a microfiber cleaning cloth and wipe it. Works well for LCDs, don't know about the v1 Nook though. Worst comes to worst, just get a little bit of water on a soft tissue or microfiber cloth and wipe it down. Good luck!

I use a small squirt of white vinegar on a high-quality paper towel to clean my electronics. The paper towel is just rough enough to clean the screen and housing, but never rough enough to do something to them. It's always worked for me, but I'm not sure if the Nook's screen is made of something that you might not want to use white vinegar on.
Generally speaking, though, white vinegar is one of the best cleaning solutions for most electronics.

A little bit of glass cleaner sprayed onto a microfiber cloth and wiped across the screen, it's what we use in the store.

From the B&N FAQ: "You should clean the touchscreen E Ink® display using a lint-free, micro-fiber cleaning cloth. Do not use any cleaning chemicals, abrasive materials, or any liquids to clean the touchscreen E Ink® display, since this may damage your device."
